More than 8,500 people linked arms in prayer for change in guns laws to create a safer community Tennessee forming a chain from Vanderbilt Children's Hospital to the state captiol in Nashville, TN on Tuesday, 18 April 2023. The newly formed Voices for a Safer Tennessee is a non-partisan state-wide coalition dedicated to prioritize gun safety and advocating for common sense gun laws to make communities across Tennessee safer. A number of Catholic parents were among the organizers of the group. Several families wearing t-shirts identifying themselves were among the participants. The chain started at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital because that is were the young victims of The Covenant School shooting were taken.
