Heart of Mary House will hold its inaugural fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, on the St. Edward Church and School Campus. For the last year, the ministry has provided "a safe, comfortable, peaceful home for the dying poor" to 18 residents. Abel Novoa, seen here being blessed by Bishop J. Mark Spalding on Jan. 17, 2023, as Kim Derrick, founder and director of ministry, looks on, was Heart of Mary House's longest living patient, living there for seven months before he passed away on April 30, 2023.

The eighth-grade boys at St. Henry School spent the day serving the elders of the St. Henry Church community during the annual St. Henry Senior Luncheon on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at the church's fellowship hall. The boys set up the space, served the food, and cleaned up. Additionally, 4-year-old pre-kindergarten students surprised the guests with songs and carnations. Luke Klein passes out dessert.
