Churches announce Eucharistic processions for Feast of Corpus Christi

Tennessee Register reporter Katie Peterson talked with Father John Hammond about Corpus Christi and the Eucharistic Revival.

Several churches are holding Eucharistic processions in celebration of the Feast of Corpus Christi the weekend of June 10-11. 

Scheduled processions include: 

• Immaculate Conception Church, 709 Franklin Street, Clarksville, after the 4:30 p.m. Vigil Mass on Saturday, June 10, and after the 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. English Masses and the 1 p.m. Spanish Mass on Sunday, June 11. Each procession will begin with the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament before processing around the church campus while singing songs. They will end with benediction inside the church.

• Church of the Assumption, 1227 7th Ave. N., at 10 a.m. following the 8:30 a.m. High Latin Mass on Sunday, June 11. The procession will begin at the gazebo, and will include Lancers Pipes and Drums. Children receiving their First Communion will follow first behind the priests. 

• St. Joseph Church, 1225 Gallatin Pike, Madison, after the 8:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, June 11. Members of the Knights of Columbus Council 3763 will carry the procession canopy. 

• Holy Family Church, 9100 Crockett Road, Brentwood, at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, June 11. The procession will begin with the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament before processing outside the church, stopping at various places to offer prayers, including the Marian Garden and the columbarium. It will end with benediction in the sanctuary.
