Churches, schools, and organizations throughout the Diocese of Nashville have plenty of upcoming events to add to your calendar. Check out the events below. 

Fall Clothing Consignment Sale

The Ladies of Charity’s Fall Clothing Consignment Sale continues through Saturday, Nov. 4, at 2216 State St. Standard hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Proceeds from the sale benefit the Ladies of Charity Emergency Assistance Program for low income families in Davidson County. For more information, visit www.ladiesofcharitynashville.org

Fauré’s Requiem

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary choir, under the direction of Dr. Nancy Sutton, will perform Fauré’s Requiem at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, on the second-floor chapel of Buddeke House, 1226 7th Ave N. The performance will take place in the context of Holy Mass. 

Art Fair

St. Stephen Catholic Church in Old Hickory will host its annual Art Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 4-5, at the church. The event will feature original artwork from vetted artists, and 30 percent of all art sales will come back to the church. The event is free and open to the public. Baby Fair

Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown, in collaboration with Nashville Parent magazine, will host a free Baby Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 2000 Church St. in Nashville. The event, designed for new parents, expectant mothers, partners, and their support systems, will include a combination of education and entertainment, in hopes of providing confidence to those transitioning into parenthood. 

School Carnival

St. Henry School will host a carnival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at the school. The event will include food, games, rides, an auction, and more. 

Casino Night

Immaculate Conception School in Clarksville will host its annual Casino Night at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, in the gymnasium.

Faith and Justice Ministry

St. Henry Church’s Faith and Justice Ministry will continue its weekly discussions of Pope Francis’ 2015 encyclical letter “Laudato Si: On Care for Our Common Home” at 10:10 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5, 12, and 19, in the parish hall meeting room. 

St. Paul Ladies Council Presentation

The St. Paul Ladies Council is sponsoring a presentation by a staffer of Ancora TN on human trafficking from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7, in the parish center of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Tullahoma.  Brenna Filbrun, community engagement specialist, will discuss ways to nurture survivor healing and strategically combat human trafficking in Tennessee. Catholic Business League Meeting

The next meeting of the Catholic Business League is at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, in the Cathedral of the Incarnation’s Fleming Center. For more information, visit catholicbusinessleague.org. All are welcome to attend the 7 a.m. Mass at the Cathedral prior to breakfast. 

Community Wide Baby Shower

Mulier Care, in partnership with St. Edward Church, will host a Community Wide Baby Shower from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 188 Thompson Lane, Nashville, in the lower parking lot. The baby shower will allow expectant moms to pick up free baby essentials, including diapers, wipes, and clothing. For more information, call 1-866-PHC-NASH. Grief Support Group

St. Mark Church in Manchester will host its next Grief Support Group 9-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the church. Topics will include getting through the holidays, day-to-day life changes, secondary, and emotional regulation skills. Heart of Mary House Fundraiser

The Heart of Mary House will hold its inaugural fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the St. Edward Church and School campus. There is no cost to attend, but RSVPs are encouraged for the adult only event. For more information or to RSVP, visit www.heartofmaryhouse.org

Organ and Brass Concert

The Cathedral of the Incarnation will host an Organ and Brass Concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, at the church. The concert will feature organist Andrew Risinger of the Nashville Symphony Orchestra and the Brass Quintet of the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. 

Free Workshop

St. Patrick Church in South Nashville will hold its free How to Create Healthy Boundaries workshop at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, in Father Abbot Hall. Emily Adams, a certified Catholic coach for Metanoia Catholic, will present and help participants learn how to create boundaries in a way that honors themselves and others that leads to more peace and freedom to love in relationships. Advent Parish Mission

St. Luke Church in Smyrna will hold an Advent Parish Mission at 7 p.m. Dec. 3-4 at the church. The event will feature Steve Angrisano, an internationally recognized Catholic composer, presenter, and passionate music missionary. For more information, email frontoffice@stluketn.org

Advent Parish Mission

St. Stephen Church in Old Hickory will hold its three-day parish mission Dec. 3-5, at the church. Author and international speaker Katie Prejean McGrady will lead the sessions, which begin at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday and 7 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday. The event is free and open to all. Eucharistic Lecture

Aquinas College will host its next Eucharistic lecture, “The Real Presence: Source of Joy” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, in the Aquinas Center. The talk will be given by Sister Jane Dominic, OP, and will be followed by adoration and benediction. 

Girls Garden Retreat

Girls Garden Retreat will host an all-inclusive restorative retreat April 4-7 at Callaway Gardens in Georgia. The retreat is targeted for women who are seeking restoration for both body and soul, women who have gone through or are currently in a season of grief, women who have experienced disappointment, loneliness or difficult relationships, or any woman desiring to take a break and receive the goodness of God through beauty, rest, prayer, and small community. The cost is $1,300 for a shared room or $1,600 for a private room. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot, and payment plans are available for the remaining balance. SEARCH Retreat Registration

Volunteer Opportunity

Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital is seeking volunteers to serve as extraordinary ministers of Communion for patient visitation at both the West and Midtown campuses. Eucharistic ministers must be practicing Catholics and apply to become hospital volunteers first. A letter of good standing from a pastor must also be provided.
