Churches, schools, and organizations throughout the Diocese of Nashville have plenty of upcoming events to add to your calendar. Check out the events below. 

Cooking Classes

The Cathedral of the Incarnation will host a series of International Cooking Classes beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16. Explore the cuisine of countries such as Italy, Spain, France, Japan, Argentina, Mexico, and more. The monthly classes, which will continue through November, cost $25 each, or a six-pack in advance option is available for $150, and will earn you the seventh class free. To purchase tickets, visit

Cowboys and Cupcakes

St. Philip the Apostle Church in Franklin will hold its annual Cowboys and Cupcakes concert and auction from 5:30-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, at the church, 113 Second Ave., South Franklin. The concert will feature country superstar Clay Walker. Tickets are $60 for general admission or $100 for VIP admission, which includes a question-and-answer session with Walker. Seminarian Education Dinner

The Seminarian Education Dinner and Auction is set for 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, at Holy Family Church in Brentwood. The event is a fundraiser for the Seminarian Education Fund, which supports the education of the future priests of the diocese. Currently 21 seminarians are in formation. Priest Ordination

Deacon Oscar Romero and Deacon Augustine Mang will be ordained to the priesthood during a special Mass at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, at the Cathedral of the Incarnation. 

Pope Prep Summer Camp

Registration is open for Pope John Paul II Preparatory School’s four-week summer camp from May 30 through June 23. Available in morning and afternoon sessions for pre-kindergarten through eighth grade students. For more information, visit To register, visit For questions, email Pat Kennedy at

Youth Soccer Clinic

St. Matthew School parent Stefan Caulfield, a former NCAA Division I soccer player and coach and former member of the U20 Canadian National Team and Ottawa Fury FC in the Premier Development League, is hosting a Youth Soccer Clinic from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 2-3, at 535 Sneed Road W., Franklin. The clinic is designed to help up-and-coming soccer players to develop their skills. Cost is $80 per player. For more information or to register, visit

Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat

The next Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat for Healing the Wounds of Abortion will be offered June 2-4. Participation is open to Catholics and non-Catholics alike and any woman or man who has been involved, or touched by, abortion. All participation is strictly confidential. Summer Music Camp

The Play it Forward Summer Music Camp is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 19-25 at St. Philip the Apostle Church in Franklin. The week-long mentorship program will encourage the next generation of musicians toward a vocation of music ministry and worship within any church music setting.
