The Diocese of Nashville has been recognized in several recent competitions for the excellence of its video and social media efforts.
Four projects won recognition in the 42nd annual Telly Awards, which honor excellence in video and television across all screens including from prominent national companies, as well as in the 2021 Communicator Awards, which recognize excellence, effectiveness, and innovation across all areas of communication.
Nashville Catholic Radio’s “Belonging” show for young Catholic adults, hosted by Zach Janson and Father Gervan Menezes, also won second place in the Series-Radio category of the Gabriel Awards, sponsored by the Catholic Media Association to recognize the best work in film, broadcasting and cross-platform media that support themes of dignity, compassion, community and justice.
“These awards are an excellent testament to our quality of work, and we are blessed to be recognized and to be competing at such a high level,” said Bill Staley, diocesan director of new media evangelization. “One of the greatest things about these awards was that all of the projects were team based and show what great employees and production partners we have here at the diocese.”
