Mikey Schachle  lives with his parents Daniel and Michelle in Dickson. The boy who was not expected to live is now an active 5-year-old. Pope Francis approved the promulgation of a decree recognizing Mikey’s cure from a deadly case of fetal hydrops while still in his mother’s womb as a miracle attributed to the intercession of Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus. With the approval of the miracle, Father McGivney’s cause for sainthood moves to the next step, beatification, when he will receive the title “Blessed.”
