Married couples are invited to “Three to Stay Married,” an evening of dinner and inspiration, on Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Cathedral of the Incarnation’s Fleming Center.

This year’s theme is “The True Meaning of Love,” and features keynote speaker Father Michael Fye, pastor of St. Ann Church, and Irish singer/songwriters Caitriona and Colm Kirwan.

“It’s a great way to start the new year!” said organizer Kathleen Cordell.

Proceeds from the evening benefit the “Three to Get Married” engaged couples weekend retreats hosted by St. Mary of Seven Sorrows Church and held several times a year at Camp Marymount in Fairview, Tennessee.

Father Fye is a favorite speaker at the engaged couples’ retreat; he gets to the root of God’s plan for marriage and will motivate and inspire his audience to give their best, Cordell said.

The Kirwans attended the “Three to Get Married” engaged couples’ retreat last August and describe it as a “game changer” for them. Both hailing from Northern Ireland, they met and fell in love in Nashville. They are based in Middle Tennessee, where they work and write music with top performers and musicians. Collectively, they have performed or worked with artists such as Don Williams, Van Morrison, Daniel O’Donnel, Joey and Rory, George Jones, Ray Price, Collin Raye, Joan Armatrading, Brian McFadden and Nathan Carter.

The couple, gifted singers, songwriters and storytellers, will share with event attendees their Irish Celtic roots, their love of country music, and their passion for the Catholic faith.

Advance registration for “Three to Stay Married” on Jan. 25 is required. Tickets are $60 per couple/$300 per table. For more details and tickets, visit stmarysdowntown.org.

“Three to Stay Married” is sponsored by Father Jayd Neely, pastor of St. Mary of the Seven Sorrows Church, and proceeds benefit the “Three to Get Married” weekend retreats for engaged couples in the diocese, which present the fullness and beauty of Church teachings to help lay firm foundations for happy, Christ-centered marriages.
