Get to know the staff of the Tennessee Register, learn about the history of the diocese, and more with the new monthly “On Air with The Tennessee Register” show on Nashville Catholic Radio.
The first episode will premiere at 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 26. It will re-air the following Saturday, July 1, at 8:30 a.m. and Sunday, July 2 at 2:30 p.m.
Erik Ritland, graphic designer and layout specialist, and Katie Peterson, staff writer and photographer, will host the half hour show, as they discuss the latest headlines, provide fun historical tidbits about the Diocese of Nashville and its 60 churches, talk with priests, and more. Several special guests are already planned to appear, including Andy Telli, managing editor of the Tennessee Register, and Father John Hammond, pastor of St. Patrick Church in South Nashville and Judicial Vicar and Vicar General for the diocese.
“We hope this will give readers a taste of the personalities behind the names they see in print with every issue of the Register,” Ritland said. “We also hope this will be yet another way to spread the Diocese’s mission of ‘Living and Proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ, Welcoming All.’
“We’re so excited to be partnering with Nashville Catholic Radio for this new show as we enter into this new digital medium, so we can spread the news of the diocese in a different way,” he added.
“On Air with the Tennessee Register” will air every fourth Monday of the month at 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., with re-air the following Saturday at 8:30 a.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Listen live at NashvilleCR.com, on the Nashville Catholic Radio App, or tune into WBOU 100.5 FM.
