The National Catholic Education Association has launched a new initiative to highlight Catholic schools.

In the Diocese of Nashville and across the country, Catholic schools will be inviting their communities to find out more about their schools during “Discover Catholic Schools Week,” Nov. 13-19.

“Discover Catholic Schools Week is an opportune time for parents to look at our schools,” said Dr. Rebecca Hammel, superintendent of schools for the diocese. “A lot of exciting things are happening in all of our schools.”

The diocese has 16 elementary and high schools, along with three independent Catholic schools, serving students in urban centers, the suburbs, and small rural communities.

Discover Catholic Schools Week is being held in addition to Catholic Schools Week, the annual celebration of Catholic schools held in late January and early February. The new initiative is designed to put a spotlight on Catholic schools during the fall at the height of admission season activities.
