There’s still an opportunity to help parents across the Diocese of Nashville provide their children with the benefit of a good Catholic education by attending the upcoming eighth annual Advancement in Catholic Education (ACE) Dinner from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Catholic Pastoral Center.
“The ACE Dinner gives our community a chance to gather in celebration and hope to support families and children across Middle Tennessee that desire a Catholic Education, but without ACE would not be possible,” said Jessica Gravagna, special events coordinator for the Office of Stewardship and Development at the Diocese of Nashville. “The foundation that a Catholic education offers is undeniable, and ACE gives more children the opportunity to encounter Christ.”
During the event, attendees will hear from several Diocese of Nashville leaders, including Bishop J. Mark Spalding and the Catholic Schools Office, as well as a former recipient of tuition assistance funded by the ACE endowment who will share what it meant for them to be able to receive a Catholic education.
Attendees will also be able to witness “a beloved, long-standing tradition” as the annual Christ the Teacher Award is presented to a teacher of one of the 16 diocesan schools who exhibits outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to Catholic education, Gravagna explained.
Throughout, attendees will be encouraged to support the growing ACE endowment fund, and for the first time in the fund’s history, they’ll be able to become ACE advocates. ACE advocates will have the privilege of being able to specify which Catholic school in Middle Tennessee they would like 100 percent of their funds to support.
Tickets are currently on sale for $150 per person and are available at dioceseofnashville.com/ace. Registration is due by Wednesday, Nov. 1.
Sponsorship opportunities, ranging from $1,500 to $25,000, are also available until Wednesday, Oct. 25.
