Twelve permanent deacon candidates and one seminarian will be ordained to the diaconate on Saturday, April 1, at Sagrado Corazón Church. On Jan. 15, 2022, the 12 ordinands for the permanent diaconate previously became permanent deacon candidates during a Deacon Candidacy Mass celebrated by Bishop J. Mark Spalding in Ascension Hall at the Catholic Pastoral Center. Bishop J. Mark Spalding leads the applause as 12 men officially become candidates for the permanent diaconate.

More than 400 chaperones and confirmandi gathered for the Office of Faith Formation's annual SEALED Confirmation Retreat on Saturday, March 4, at the Catholic Pastoral Center. Throughout the day, confirmandi played games, heard from a keynote speaker, had small group discussions, received the sacrament of Reconciliation, and attended adoration and Mass with Bishop J. Mark Spalding.
