Mark Spalding led a Eucharistic procession after the 11 a.m. Mass at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Nashville on Sunday, June 19, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, also referred to as Corpus Christi. The processions at the Cathedral and at other churches in the diocese were the first step in the national Eucharistic Revival that has been launched by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

The Fernandez Brothers were three of several children taken in by Catholic host families in Nashville in the 1960s as part of Operation Pedro Pan, which was a response to unrest in Cuba because of Fidel Castro. Rowan's parents took in all three boys for 18 months before they were reunited with their father in late 1963. They were later reunited with their mother, in Miami, in 1966.
