Churches, schools, and organizations throughout the Diocese of Nashville have plenty of upcoming events to add to your calendar. Check out the events below. 

Fall Clothing Consignment Sale

The Ladies of Charity’s Fall Clothing Consignment Sale continues through Saturday, Nov. 4, at 2216 State St. Standard hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Proceeds from the sale benefit the Ladies of Charity Emergency Assistance Program for low income families in Davidson County. For more information, visit www.ladiesofcharitynashville.org

YCP Nashville Speaker Series

Young Catholic Professionals Nashville is hosting a free Executive Speaker Series from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, at St. Ann Church in Nashville. The guest speaker will be Josh Easler, executive vice president of promotions and commercial strategy at Sony. To register, visit ycp.glueup.com/event/89183/register/. Throughout the series, different executives will share their career and faith journeys with young professionals, challenging them to “Work in Witness for Christ.”

Wine Around the Square

The Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation will host its 12th annual Wine Around the Square event in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Saturday, Oct. 21, in Murfreesboro’s historic downtown square. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation and the Power of Pink fund. For more information, visit rutherfordfoundation.org/events/wine-around-the-square/

Craft, Yard, and Bake Sale

The St. Edward Church Ladies Auxiliary will host a Craft, Yard, and Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, in the St. Edward School gymnasium. All proceeds from the sale benefit St. Edward School and Ladies Auxiliary. For more information, call 423-432-5385. 

HIHO Classic Golf Tournament

The second annual HIHO Classic Golf Tournament will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Hermitage Golf Course, 3939 Old Hickory Blvd., Old Hickory, Tennessee 37138. Cost is $250 per person, $500 per team of two, or $1,000 per team of four. Mulligans will also be available for purchase. Sponsorship opportunities are also available from $500 to $10,000. Junior Irish Band Night

All seventh- and eighth-grade band members are invited to join the Father Ryan High School Band from 4:40-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27, on the high school campus to experience what it is like to be part of one of the premier band groups. Alumni Tailgate

Father Ryan High School’s Alumni Tailgate event is from 5:40-6:45 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27. The tent will be located on the side grass field by the fieldhouse on campus. All alumni are welcome as Relay for Life committee members are honored. 

Craft Fair

The Immaculate Conception Council of Catholic Women will hold a Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, in the Immaculate Conception School gymnasium in Clarksville. Admission is $1 per person. For more information, email Patricia Doyle at doylep92@yahoo.com 

Relay for Life

Father Ryan High School’s annual Relay for Life is set for noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Father Ryan campus. This event is the nation’s largest student-led relay that salutes cancer survivors and cancer fighters while raising money for the American Cancer Society. Trunk or Treat

Church of the Nativity in Thompsons Station will host a Trunk or Treat event from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at the church. Along with the chance for children to trick-or-treat for candy, the event will also include a children’s cupcake walk, a maze, free hot dogs, chips, and water provided by the Knights of Columbus, face painting, a craft table, and corn hole. Golf Classic

The Holy Family Golf Classic is set for 11 a.m., with registration beginning at 9 a.m., on Monday, Oct. 30, at the Nashville Golf and Athletic Club. The event, which is open to all families of the parish and their guests, is being sponsored by the Holy Family Knights of Columbus Council 15234 to raise money to benefit Knights of Columbus outreach projects. Cost begins at $175 per individual golfer, with teams of four beginning at $700. There are also sponsorships available. Baby Fair

Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown, in collaboration with Nashville Parent magazine, will host a free Baby Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 2000 Church St. in Nashville. The event, designed for new parents, expectant mothers, partners, and their support systems, will include a combination of education and entertainment, in hopes of providing confidence to those transitioning into parenthood. 

Casino Night

Immaculate Conception School in Clarksville will host its annual Casino Night beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, in the gymnasium. More information is forthcoming. 

Catholic Business League Meeting

The next meeting of the Catholic Business League is at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, in the Cathedral of the Incarnation’s Fleming Center. For more information, visit catholicbusinessleague.org. All are welcome to attend the 7 a.m. Mass at the Cathedral prior to breakfast. 

Community Wide Baby Shower

Mulier Care in partnership with St. Edward Church will host a Community Wide Baby Shower from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 188 Thompson Lane, Nashville, in the lower parking lot. The baby shower will allow expectant moms to pick up free baby essentials, including diapers, wipes, and clothing. For more information, call 1-866-PHC-NASH. Eucharistic Lecture

Aquinas College will host its next Eucharistic lecture, “The Real Presence: Source of Joy” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, in the Aquinas Center. The talk will be given by Sister Jane Dominic, OP, and will be followed by adoration and benediction. 

SEARCH Retreat Registration

Registration is open for 2023-2024 SEARCH Retreat weekends. Scheduled weekends include Nov. 10-12, Dec. 1-3, Jan. 12-14, and March 1-3. For more information, email Shelby Conner, Office of Faith Formation’s assistant director, at shelby.conner@dioceseofnasvhille.com

Volunteer Opportunity

Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital is seeking volunteers to serve as extraordinary ministers of Communion for patient visitation at both the West and Midtown campuses. Eucharistic Ministers must be practicing Catholics and apply to become hospital volunteers first. A letter of good standing from a pastor must also be provided.
