Sixteen graduating seniors at Father Ryan High school recently signed to continue their athletic careers in college. They are:
• Sydney Bixby has signed to play volleyball for Birmingham Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama. She is the daughter of David and Stephanie Bixby and is a parishioner at Christ the King Church in Nashville.
Birmingham Southern competes in the NCAA Division III as a member of the Southern Athletic Association.
• Krispin Braniff has signed to play men’s rugby at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He is the son of Jarett and Kelly Braniff and a parishioner at St. Ann Church in Nashville.
The University of Tennessee men’s rugby team competes in the Southeastern Collegiate Rugby Conference and has won three straight conference championships.
• AC Cromartie has signed to play football for Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. He is the son of Abraham and Kim Cromartie and is a parishioner at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Nashville.
Oberlin College competes in the NCAA Division III as a member of the North Coast Athletic Conference.
• Katie Cummings has signed to play women’s hockey for the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is the daughter of Brian Cummings and Lilla Marigza and is a parishioner at Christ the King Church in Nashville.
The University of Michigan’s women’s ice hockey team competes in the American Collegiate Hockey Association at the Division I level as a member of the Central Collegiate Women’s Hockey Association.
• Evan Cuffe has signed to play lacrosse for Berry College in Rome, Georgia. He is the son of Michael and Rowena Cuffe and a parishioner at St. Matthew Church in Franklin.
Berry College competes in the NCAA Division III as a member of the Southern Athletic Association.
• Anabelle Dragan has signed to swim for Bridgewater College in Bridgewater Virginia. She is the daughter of Jeff and Amanda Dragan and a parishioner at St. Henry Church in Nashville.
Bridgewater College competes in NCAA Division III as a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
• Gabby Grove has signed to play women’s rugby for Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is the daughter of Jason and Kathy Grove and a parishioner at St. Stephen Catholic Community in Old Hickory.
Queens University women’s rugby team won the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association Division II national championship last November.
• Collin Heslin has signed to swim for Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois. He is the son of Tim and Shane Heslin.
Monmouth College competes in NCAA Division III as a member of the Midwest Conference.
• Bryshon Jackson has signed to play football for Bluffton University in Bluffton Ohio. He is the son of Cory Williams and Lasheryl Jackson.
Bluffton University competes in the NCAA Division III as a member of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
• Joseph Jones has signed to play lacrosse at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. He is the son of John Jones and Karen Hynes and is a parishioner at Holy Family Church in Brentwood.
DePauw University competes in the NCAA Division III as a member of the North Coast Athletic Conference.
• Arin Nipp has signed to play women’s basketball at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. She is the daughter of Bill and Jennifer Nipp and is a parishioner at Christ the King Church in Nashville.
Centre College competes in NCAA Division III as a member of the Southern Athletic Association.

• Matt Oberlander has signed to play men’s rugby at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He is the son of Brian and Becca Oberlander and a parishioner at St. Ann Church.

• Kyra Paris has signed to play volleyball at Lasell University in Newton, Massachusetts. She is the daughter of Patrick and Arlie Paris and is a parishioner at St. Stephen Catholic Community.

• Sarin Rowland has signed to play women’s rugby at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. She is the daughter of Chad Rowland and Terri Bartek and is a parishioner at St. Edward Church in Nashville.
Lindenwood University women’s rugby team won its fifth straight collegiate 15’s championship at the College Rugby Association of America D1 Elite National Championship last December.
• J.T. Schmidt has signed to play ice hockey for Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan. He is the son of Phil and Marian Schmidt and a parishioner at St. Henry Church in Nashville.
Adrian College competes in NCAA Division III as a member of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association. The team this year made it to the national championship game but lost in overtime.
• Grayson Shumate has signed to play lacrosse at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. He is the son of Tom and Wendy Shumate and a parishioner at St. Matthew Church in Franklin.
Centre College competes in the NCAA Division III as a member of the Southern Athletic Association.
