Father Ryan seniors sign to compete in college athletics

Eight seniors at Father Ryan High School recently signed letters of intent to participate in college athletics. They included: 

Ciro Albamont, who signed to run cross country and track and field at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Albamont finished third in the Division II-AA State Cross Country Championships last fall, leading Father Ryan to a third place finish in the team standings. His finish qualified him for the All-State first team. 

He is the son of Vicki and John Albamont, an alumnus of St. Matthew School, and a parishioner at St. Matthew Church, both in Franklin. 

Western Kentucky competes in the NCAA Division I as a member of Conference USA. 

Cole Becker, who signed to play football at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. Becker was a linebacker and tight end for Father Ryan.  

He is the son of Tracy and Dave Becker, an alumnus of St. Matthew School, and a parishioner at St. Matthew Church. 

Appalachian State competes in the NCAA Division I as a member of the Sun Belt Conference. 

Rosemary Bonadies, who signed to swim at Connecticut College, in New London, Connecticut. 

She is the daughter of Mary Brooke and Blaine Bonadies, an alumna of Overbook School, and parishioner at Christ the King Church. 

Connecticut College competes in the NCAA Division III as a member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference. 

Alex Ford, who signed to play football at Western Kentucky University. Ford was a defensive back and wide receiver for Father Ryan. 

He is the son of Shelia and Rodney Ford. Before attending Father Ryan, Ford attended Donelson Christian Academy. 

Western Kentucky competes in the NCAA Division I as a member of Conference USA. 

Alex Hamm, who signed to play golf at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville.  

He is the son of Katie and John Hamm, an alumnus of Christ the King School, and a parishioner at Holy Family Church in Brentwood. 

Trevecca competes in the NCAA Division II as a member of Great Midwest Athletic Conference. 

Marcus Kennedy-Holt, who signed to play football at Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky. 

Kennedy-Holt was an offensive and defensive lineman for Father Ryan. 

He is the son of Kelly Kennedy and Torri Moore and an alumnus of Lighthouse Christian School. 

Lindsey Wilson competes in the NAIA as a member of the Mid-South Conference. 

Mary Mackie, who signed to play basketball at the University of Tennessee Southern in Pulaski, Tennessee. 

Mackie was a four-year starter at guard for the Irish. 

She is the daughter of Angie and Terry Mackie, an alumna of Middle Tennessee Christian Academy, and a parishioner at St. Stephen Catholic Community in Old Hickory. 

UT Southern competes in the NAIA as a member of the Mid-South Conference. 

Aidan Nix, who signed to run cross country and track and field at Western Kentucky University. 

Nix finished 16th in the Division II-AA State Cross Country Championships last fall, qualifying him for the All-State second team. 

He is the son of Debora and Norbert Nix, an alumnus of Christ the King School, and a parishioner at Christ the King Church. 

Western Kentucky competes in the NCAA Division I as a member of Conference USA.
