More than 100 youth gathered at Pope John Paul II Preparatory School in Hendersonville to learn what it means “To live and compete like Christ” as they took part in the Tate Athletic Skills Clinic on Tuesday, July 18, at the Jim Carell Athletic Complex. The event was hosted by Golden Tate, a 2007 graduate of Pope Prep and former National Football League wide receiver. Participants, who ranged in age from incoming third- through eighth-grade, learned about stretching, throwing, catching, kicking, hydration, running, hand-eye coordination, breathing techniques, strength improvement, and more.
