The Nashville Catholic Business Women’s League (NCBWL) hosted its annual Pearls of Wisdom fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 6, with around 160 in attendance. Attendees enjoyed a lovely fall evening at the Richland Country Club as the NCBWL raised money for girls’ Catholic high school education.

Each of the three local Catholic high schools – St. Cecilia Academy, Father Ryan High School, and Pope John Paul II Preparatory School in Hendersonville – participated in a friendly “game show” competition, which ended in a three-way tie, said Claudia Weber, NCBWL president, and three blank checks were presented.

A live auction followed as well as the silent auction to encourage attendees to bid high to fill in each check.

Results are still being tallied and later this month each school will share in the NCBWL’s Aurelia Varallo Mariani Scholarship fund.

Special thanks to Courtney Conklin and Lauren Barca, the event co-chairs, who even created the centerpieces, as well as, the NCBWL Board and members who gave of their own talents and treasures.
