St. Catherine of Siena Church in Columbia is hosting a Holy Spirit Retreat for youth, sixth grade and up, and adults from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, at the church, 3019 Cayce Lane, Columbia.
The day will begin with Mass and fellowship before talks begin, which will focus on the person and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Talks, featuring multiple speakers, will include:
• The person of the Holy Spirit from Scripture and teaching of the Church.
• Expecting more of the fire of the Holy Spirit.
• More love through prayer.
• More power through community.
• Hearing God’s voice and prophetic prayer.
• More power through the charisms.
• More power through service.
• More love through purification.
The event is free and open to all, but participants are asked to bring a dish for the potluck lunch.
