St. Edward Church held a prayer service to pray for the victims of the recent shooting at The Covenant School on Tuesday, March 28, in the church. During the prayer service, attendees signed cards and a sign that read: “‘And Jesus Wept’ (John 11:35) St. Edward weeps with you.” The sign, designed by two sixth grade girls and two eighth grade girls at St. Edward School, was delivered to The Covenant School Memorial site by Father Andy Bulso, pastor of St. Edward; Susan Blankenship, principal of St. Edward School; and three eighth-grade students, Lily Farris, Andrea Ramos, and Rielle Ndamukong, on Thursday, March 30. Blankenship said the cards, which have filled up two baskets, will be mailed to the school later. After putting up the sign, Father Bulso led the group in a prayer.
