St. Mary Villa provides licensed, “3 Star” rated full-time child care as well as daily after-school care at St. Ann School in Nashville.

“Our formalized approach to child development is centered around educational ‘play’ in a nurturing environment,” according to the official website. “We tailor programs according to each child’s needs, based on evaluation and strategic planning activities Our school is supported by parent fees, United Way, the Catholic Diocese and contributions from foundations, firms, and friends.”

“St. Mary Villa has been caring for children for over 150 years, starting as an orphanage in the mid-1800s, in response to family and social disruption following the American Civil War,” the site continues. “A beneficiary of the United Way, we have consistently provided exceptional child care services as an early learning center for over 30 years – along with measurable and documented results.”
