Members of the St. Mother Teresa Syro-Malabar Mission in Nashville gathered to celebrate the feast of their patron, Mother Teresa of Kolkata, with a Mass, procession, live auction, and luncheon on Saturday, Sept. 9, at St. Pius X Church in Nashville. The Mass was celebrated by Father Sunny Joseph, pastor of St. Timothy Church in the Diocese of Arlington. Father Regimon Augustine, MSFS, pastor of St. John the Evangelist Church in Lewisburg, as well as visiting priests Father Jesu Raj, Father Shinto Padinjaredhu, and Father Sean Koehr, concelebrated. It developed in southwestern India and traces its roots to St. Thomas the Apostle, who evangelized the people of India.
