Twelve permanent deacon candidates and one seminarian will be ordained to the diaconate on Saturday, April 1, at Sagrado Corazón Church. On Jan. 15, 2022, the 12 ordinands for the permanent diaconate previously became permanent deacon candidates during a Deacon Candidacy Mass celebrated by Bishop J. Mark Spalding in Ascension Hall at the Catholic Pastoral Center. Bishop J. Mark Spalding leads the applause as 12 men officially become candidates for the permanent diaconate.

More than 300 teens and adults representing seven parishes came together for the Youth 2000 retreat Feb. 24-26, at St. Philip the Apostle Church in Franklin. Throughout the weekend, attendees learned about Jesus and his real presence in the Eucharist, heard testimonies, participated in Mass and adoration, had the opportunity to receive the sacrament of reconciliation, and more.
