World Youth Day Pilgrims gathered in the SEARCH Room of the Office of Faith Formation at the Catholic Pastoral Center in Nashville on Sunday, June 25, to make keychain bracelets to share with fellow pilgrims at World Youth Day. The group of 35 pilgrims will travel to Portugal for the international event July 28 through Aug. 8. Pilgrims put together 350 keychains that will be put in bags with a Diocese of Nashville sticker.

As the Eucharistic Revival's Year of the Parish continues, Immaculate Conception Church in Clarksville introduced parishioners, young and old, to Blessed Carlo Acutis who, as a young man, designed an exhibition displaying the Eucharistic Miracles of the world. The more than 150-piece display was available in the Family Life Center after all the Masses the weekend of July 8-9. The hope is to eventually share the exhibit with other parishes throughout Middle Tennessee.

Two years and five days since the first Mass in Smith County was held, St. Peter the Apostle Church in Carthage officially became a parish of the Diocese of Nashville when Bishop J. Mark Spalding, accompanied by Father John Hammond, vicar general and judicial vicar of the diocese, and Brian L. Cooper, chancellor and chief operating officer, dedicated and blessed the church during a special Mass on Thursday, June 29, in front of a packed church. The congregation prays the Lord's Prayer.

The Cathedral of the Incarnation is underway with the last major stage of renovations, that have been a multi-year process, as Goulding & Wood Pipe Organ Builders installs a pipe organ in the choir loft of the church. Work began on Monday, June 26, and on Wednesday, June 28, workers began lifting the organ piece by piece into the loft to put it together. The work is expected to be completed by August.

St. Joseph Church in Madison celebrated the 70th anniversary of the very first Mass said at the church during Masses the weekend of June 24-25. The narthex included old photographs, a short history write up, and more. Patty (Warner) Self, a life-long parishioner of St. Joseph, and her daughter Rachel Self, look at the old pictures. Patty Self's parents were founding members of the church.

Dozens of youth from across the Diocese of Nashville gathered at St. Philip the Apostle Church in Franklin June 19-23 for the first ever Play it Forward Music Camp. Throughout the week, students were able to participate in percussion, voice, piano, guitar, saxophone, violin, and handbell lessons, as well as attend Mass and adoration. It all culminated in a performance for the public Friday, June 23, in the church. The choir practices "Holy Spirit" by Francesca Battistelli.
