Catholic Medical Association to host Hippocratic Oath Banquet

The Nashville Guild of the Catholic Medical Association will host its annual Hippocratic Oath Banquet 6-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Fleming Center of the Cathedral of the Incarnation.

Dr. Ashley K. Fernandes, director of the Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities at the The Ohio State University, will be the guest speaker for the event. His talk is titled “Why the Best Defense of Conscience in Medicine is a Good Offense.”

The evening will include an ecumenical prayer service at the Cathedral led by medical and nursing students followed by a meal and Dr. Fernandes’ talk.
