Six members of Boy Scout Troop 6 at St. Henry Church in Nashville were promoted to the rank of Eagle Scout during a Court of Honor on Monday, Aug. 1.

The six new Eagle Scouts are:

  • Luke Robinson, the son of Jeff and Jen Robinson, a graduate of Hume-Fogg Academic High School and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. For his Eagle Scout project, Robinson created mountain biking obstacles, such as jumps, ramps and balance beams, out of wood, rocks and dirt at Cane Ridge Park to enhance the biking trails there.
  • Bryson Ingram, the son of Jasen and Susan Ingram, a student at Pope John Paul II Preparatory School and a parishioner at St. Henry Church. For his Eagle Scout project, Ingram removed and replaced the cedar pole barriers along the road at Edwin Warner Park to enhance both safety and aesthetics.
  • Stephen Meier, the son of Eric and Diane Meier, a graduate of Montgomery Bell Academy and a parishioner at St. Henry. For his Eagle Scout project, Meier built a rack for the Montgomery Bell rowing team to store its long rowing oars.
  • Eli Jordan, the son of Jon and Holly Jordan, a graduate of Father Ryan High School, and a member of Belle Meade United Methodist Church. For his Eagle Scout project, Jordan cleared and leveled a play area, then constructed a “Gaga Ball” area for the children of Belle Meade United Methodist Church.
  • Jack Sudderth, the son of Tom and Lisa Sudderth, a student at Father Ryan, and a parishioner at St. Matthew Church in Franklin. For his Eagle Scout project, Sudderth built a Chimney Swift tower behind the Nature Center at Edwin Warner Park to help improve the habitat of Chimney Swift birds.
  • Joey Terry, the son of Rob and Melanie Terry, a Father Ryan graduate, and a parishioner at St. Henry. For his Eagle Scout project, Terry built two sets of steps at Narrows of the Harpeth State Park for climbers to get to the top of Table Rock Mountain and to the picnic area at the canoe take-out.

Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America. To achieve the rank, a Scout must earn a minimum of 21 merit badges, demonstrate Scout Spirit and leadership within their troop, and plan, develop and lead a service project that demonstrates both leadership and a commitment to duty. After all the requirements are met, the Scout must complete an Eagle Scout Board of Review.
