Marilyn Rovito, deacon’s wife, dies at 71

Marilyn Rovito, the wife of Deacon Orin Rovito of Immaculate Conception Church in Clarksville, died on Dec. 23, 2021, at age 71. 

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Alfred and Tammy Ambriz; stepchildren Joe Rovito and Sherry Novonty; sisters Jeanie Blyth, Connie Chamber, Susan Ferguson, Terry Acocks, Donna Cullar; her brother Ned Cullar; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. 

Mrs. Rovito spent 18 years caring for others at a day care for children while studying to become a teacher, only to become a Certified Nurse Assistant instead, caring for youth and disabled adults. She retired in 2013 because of medical issues and was diagnosed with dementia in 2014.  

She enjoyed her role as a Catholic deacon’s wife, and loved camping, snow skiing, fishing, caring for the family’s dogs Kodiak, Kati and Dawn, and gardening. 

The Neptune Society in Brentwood was in charge of arrangements.
