The Knights of Columbus held it's first Sons of McGivney Evangelization and Discipleship Training at the Catholic Pastoral Center in Nashville March 17-20. The goal of the new discipleship training program is to teach Knights how to evangelize in their councils and parishes. Members of the Oak House at Father Ryan High School delivered canned food to the Hunger Relief Program at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Nashville. The school collected more than 21,000 cans of food in the drive, and donated it to Catholic Charities, Ladies of Charity and the Little Pantry that Could. Sophomore A.J. Michele Somers, a parishioner at St. Ann Church, has set up a Little Free Library at the senior food box distribution site at the Catholic Pastoral Center. Clients of the program can pick up a free book when they pick up their box of food. Somers sets up for a ribbon cutting for the opening of the library on Tuesday, Feb. 8.
