Bishop J. Mark Spalding opened a Zoom meeting of parish facilitators for the diocesan Synod on Synodality with a prayer and brief remarks. The facilitators will be organizing listening sessions in the churches around the Diocese of Nashville to gather people's opinions on the Church and her mission. The diocesan synod is part of a two-year process that will culminate with the Synod of Bishops on Synodality at the Vatican in October 2023.

The Diocese of Nashville hosted the SEALED Confirmation preparation retreat for about 250 young people from schools and parishes around the diocese on Saturday, April 10. The retreat featured talks by Bishop J. Mark Spalding, Franchelle Jaeger, Sister Caterina Joy, O.P., music by PJ Anderson and his band, and Mass was celebrated by Father Andrew Bulso. Seraphia Schroeder of St. John Vianney School in Gallatin, and her classmates dance to the music.

Catholic school basketball teams met at St. Pius X Classical Academy gymnasium on Saturday, Jan. 29, for Parochial League action. The Holy Rosary Vikings used a furious finish to outlast the host St. Pius X Patriots in a game between two third and fourth grade teams. In a third and fourth grade team between the St. Henry 2 Tigers and the St. Rose of Lima Stars White, St. Henry rolled to a 21-5 win. Players from both teams battle for the ball.
