HCA Healthcare volunteers came to the Catholic Pastoral Center Oct. 18 and 25 for community help days to beautify Bishop's Courtyard in coordination with Catholic Charities, Diocese of Nashville. The process included raking leaves, planting daffodil bulbs and putting down mulch. Volunteers Aline Leite and Jennifer Garrett add more compost to the pile.

The Diocese of Nashville hosted Holy Fire Nashville for more than 900 youth and adults Saturday, Oct. 1, in Sagrado Corazon Church at the Catholic Pastoral Center. The event was put on by EQ Saints and Declan Weir Production, Inc., in partnership with the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry. The event was MC’d by musician Dana Catherine, and included performances by Catholic musicians PJ Anderson and Joe Melendrez, keynote addresses by Noelle Garcia, a Catholic recording artist and speaker. Attendees also had opportunities to receive the sacrament of reconciliation and attend Adoration, before ending the day with Mass celebrated by Bishop J. Mark Spalding. Adult leaders were invited to dance on the stage during the musical warm-up.
